How naive, you think developing shelf stable, ready to eat food for displaced and distressed people, foreign and domestic, would be a clever way to assert and grow global influence?

Well, apparently Uncle Sam thought so. Introducing two variations of government emergency rations designed to keep people fed when everything else has gone to 💩.

Humanitarian Daily Rations (HDR) were developed to provide emergency food assistance to displaced populations around the world. Each ration contains at least 2,200 calories, with ingredients selected to accommodate a wide range of cultural and religious dietary restrictions. That means no meat or alcohol, but plenty of entrées, snacks, and other essentials to get you through the day.

Survivor Daily Rations (SDR) take a similar concept and bring it stateside. Developed by the Defense Logistics Agency for FEMA disaster response, these rations are intended to feed survivors of hurricanes, floods, and other domestic emergencies. Unlike HDRs, this nonvegetarian variation includes meat based entrées, with menu options such as chicken chili, spaghetti, and other hearty dishes.

Both variations contain individually packaged daily rations designed to provide a full day's worth of food for one person. No refrigeration or cooking is required, making them excellent options for emergency preparedness, camping, and situations where access to food is limited.

Humanitarian Daily Ration (HDR) Features:

• Minimum 2,200 calories per daily ration

• Full day's food supply for one person per ration
• Designed around approximately 2,000 or more calories per daily ration
• Includes meat based entrées, unlike the HDR
• Two entrées per ration, plus snacks and complementary food items
• Menu options may include chicken chili, chili with beans, and spaghetti
• Includes utensils, seasonings, napkin, and moist towelette
• Shelf stable and ready to eat
• No cooking, refrigeration, or heating equipment required
• Developed by the Defense Logistics Agency for FEMA disaster relief
• Authentic U.S. government emergency rations
• 10 daily ration packs per case

Both variations are perfect for camping, prepping, emergency food storage.

Ration meals are good for 3 to 10 year shelf life from inspection date. (NOT PACK DATE) This depends on how the meals are stored long term (temperature, humidity, element exposure, etc) (If the box does not state inspection date reach out, and we can let you know from which batch when they were inspected last by the FDA) (Most boxes will have a separate inspection date stamp separate from the pack date)
