AP BGS Sumpftarn Woobie Hoodie

Americana Pipedream, in collaboration with Woobie Gear, brings you the Bundesgrenzschutz Sumpftarn Woobie Hoodie. The camouflage print used here has been painstakingly recreated using an original piece of BGS Sumpftarn. The print is based on the earliest known variant of BGS Sumpftarn.

This camouflage pattern was first issued by the BGS in the late 1950s, being based on a camouflage pattern of the same name used by the Wehrmacht during WWII. Due to its similarity to WWII-era uniforms popular opinion shifted against its use. The BGS was forced to adopt civil service uniforms in 1976, putting an end to Sumpftarn's official use by German forces.

BGS Sumpftarn goes hard, so we figured we'd bring you a comfy and cozy hoodie to help you rock this obscure camouflage pattern. For this run, we've embroidered "AP" on the left chest.

Care Instructions:

We do not recommend machine washing these with items that have tough velcro. We recommend machine washing any woobie-like product on low heat.
