These Greek M71 webbing sets are the Marshall Plan at its finest, essentially just M1956 LCE webbing harnesses subtly altered to hold copious amounts of gyro meat and debt. Made of durable cotton canvas, these are Cold War classics: two large magazine pouches, a cargo pack, a canteen pouch, and a canteen round out the features. Yoke and belt included, of course.

Having received ample support from the US post-WW2, these sets represent a turning point where the Greeks actually started manufacturing their own copies of US-designed goods, subtly different from proper USGI sets; these will still pass as Vietnam era gear. These are otherwise passable for any and all anti-Turk activities.

Features:

Authentic Greek surplus

Two magazine pouches

Canteen w/pouch

Belt and shoulder harness

Rear cargo pack

Classic cotton canvas construction

Near identical to classic USGI M1956 webbing

What it can do

Issued to Greek troops around the time they were using heavy battle rifles, the magazine pouches on these pieces are ideal for storing large-caliber magazines. Easily able to store your AR mags, the adjustable canvas belt is able to easily mount shovel carriers, extra pouches or just about any period-correct addition you can think of. Great for your Cold War LARP, these are plenty practical for just about anything you can think of. Airsoft, action shooting, or hunting. This is a complete set that allows you to carry your ammo and some gear through the woods or across the airsoft field at a bargain price.

Junta-approved design

Sometimes defending peace and freedom means propping up violent military dictatorships. Old news, I know. I would definitely rate the 1967 to 1974 Greek military junta above inferior US allies such as the post-Peron dictatorship in Argentina, and that isn't exclusively attributable to my extreme anti-Argentina bias. Unlike US-equipped and supported Argentina, Greece didn't get its ass kicked by the British. In addition, forces equipped with gear like this laid absolute belt to ass on some goofy student protests in 1973. Success like this was no doubt realized thanks to cool webbing gear like this. With generous storage capacity across its three storage pouches, your imagination is the only limitation you'll face. With one of these sick bags, you too could become a US-aligned despot. Without the spectre of communism, you'll be doing it for love of the game, and that is what we're all about.
