History of the Blumentarn Camouflage Pattern:

The Blumentarn camouflage pattern, also known as "flower camouflage," was developed in East Germany in the late 1950s and used until the early 1960s. This unique pattern features a mix of green, brown, and tan colors with flower-like shapes, designed to provide effective concealment in woodland environments. The Blumentarn pattern was one of the first camouflage designs adopted by the National People's Army (NVA) of East Germany and reflects the country's early efforts to develop its military identity. Though short-lived, the pattern remains a distinctive and recognizable element of East German military history.
